About the Journal

Annals of Standards, Innovation and Global Cooperation (ASIGC) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access English-language journal published by Higher Education Press, issued biannually. Guided by the principle that standards drive innovation and innovation fosters collaboration, the journal is dedicated to publishing cutting-edge research at the intersection of standardization science, innovation management, and global cooperation, providing a high-level platform for academia, industry, and policymakers.

Scope

The journal welcomes original research covering, but not limited to:

• Interactions between international standards systems and global innovation ecosystems
• Governance structures and global influence of Standards Development Organizations (SDOs)
• Standardization strategies for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, digital economy, etc.)
• Impact assessment of international standards on cross-border trade, technology transfer, and innovation cooperation
• Synergy and alignment among innovation policies, regulatory frameworks, and international standard adoption
• Global cooperation networks and strategic analysis in technical standardization
• The role of standards in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and green transition
• Standardization capacity building and integration pathways for developing countries
• Interplay between open standards, open-source ecosystems, and innovation systems
• National standardization strategies and global governance reform

Article Types

• Original Research Articles: Full-length reports of original and complete research findings (no word limit)
• Review Articles: Systematic reviews of research progress and future directions in a specific field (typically 8,000–12,000 words)
• Short Communications: Brief reports of important preliminary findings (typically 3,000–5,000 words)
• Policy & Practice: Analytical articles focusing on standardization policy and industrial practice

Submission Guidelines

1. Manuscripts must be original, not previously published or under consideration elsewhere, and not submitted to multiple venues simultaneously;
2. Manuscripts must be written in English with clear expression and rigorous logic, conforming to academic writing standards;
3. Typical structure: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References;
4. Reference format should follow APA 7th or IEEE style, consistent throughout the manuscript;
5. Studies involving human or animal subjects must provide ethical approval documentation;
6. All submissions must include author contribution statements and conflict of interest declarations.

Review and Publication

• The journal operates a double-blind peer review system, with a typical review cycle of 4–8 weeks;
• Accepted manuscripts will be published online first (Online First) and subsequently assigned to a regular issue;
• The journal is fully Open Access, with all articles freely available to read and download;
• No article processing charges (APCs) during the inaugural launch period.
